Hola a todos de nuevo!,

¿Cómo ha ido esta última semana sin noticias bloggicas de mi persona? Supongo que fatal, pero si ha sido así, ha sido sin duda porque no habéis leído la infinidad de Twits, y actualizaciones de Facebook y Myspace que he realizado durante estos días.

Esta semana ha sido frenética. Mientras escribo esto, me encuentro en un tren volviendo de mi periplo catalán. Han sido unos días fantásticos, donde he tenido la oportunidad de promocionar el proyecto No Fui Yo. Por desgracia, me he visto forzado a acortar mi visita por diversos problemas personales (nada grave, nada de preocupaciones). Lamento infinito por todos aquellos que se a ciencia cierta ibais a visitarme en la fiesta en Barcelona, que se habrá realizado en Hyde Club el sábado día 5 de diciembre, así como a aquellos que me habría gustado saludar, o poder volver a hacerlo, en la fiesta de Momentum (Reus, Tarragona).

No obstante, aun podréis haceros con una copia del CD de No Fui Yo por el módico precio de 10€ con gastos de envío para España incluidos. El servicio de venta por correo será temporal, y podréis realizar los pagos por transferencia bancaria, o Paypal. Aprovecho para recordaros también, que la edición digital del trabajo, está prevista para el día 7 de Diciembre en la mayor parte de plataformas digitales. Pero claro, esa edición no lleva el bonito libreto, ni mi firmita con amor y tal y cuál.

Estos días han sido duros, pero gracias al cariño que me habéis demostrado a lo largo de mi estancia, se me han pasado volando, y los he disfrutado mucho. GRACIAS!

Contaros, que en la fiesta oficial (Noovo, Reus, 2/12/09) interpreté en directo mi edit del tema No Fui Yo, así como dos de los temas de mi futuro disco (We Were Too Good, y Despacio en sus versiones definitivas). Fue excepcional poder cantar mis canciones en directo por fin para un nutrido público. Los comentarios fueron muy positivos, lo cual pintó una sonrisa de oreja a oreja en mi cara. También realizamos un montón de entrevistas para diferentes medios, así como una presentación en directo de mi No Fui Yo para un canal local, que espero poder colgar lo antes posible en este mismo blog, y en los mismos lugares de siempre (Ya sabéis lo mucho que me gustan las redes sociales). Espero también vayan surgiendo más links que ofreceros con imágenes y material de estos días.

Esta semana vuelvo al estudio para perfilar lo que me queda del disco, que creo no es demasiado, y prometo ponerme al día con las diversas colaboraciones que estoy preparando.

Sólo un aviso... cuidado que llega la Navidad.

I'll make this translation quick as most of what I wrote on spanish is a bit of useless information for you non spanish people.

Just some quick updates:

Here's me typing on my lap on my getting back home train.

The No Fui Yo (The Remixes) parties and promotion went well. Had to cut ir short as I had some personal problems which made me come back to Madrid early but still, it was an amazing experience. We did loads of press and public events and I even got to perform some of the tracks from my album live and also a No Fui Yo tv performance which should surface soon.

For you guys outside Spain we're also doing a shipping service of the No Fui Yo physical edition. The price would be 12€ (18US$ shipping costs included to anywhere outside Spain). If you would like to get the cd, just drop us an e-mail to this address (with your full name and address where you want to receive the cd, person you'd like to get it signed to or formule any question regarding your purchase) :

¿Cómo va todo? Diciembre siempre es un mes caótico para mi, pues es el momento álgido de la gira con Gospel Factory (con quienes grabé recientemente para la banda sonora de la nueva película de Disney "Tiana y el Sapo"), y para sumarle este año, estoy grabando mi disco y promocionando el proyecto de No Fui Yo The Remixes.

Hablando de esto último, os recuerdo las fechas de salida de No fui Yo:
4 de Diciembre formato físico
7 de Diciembre en formato digital.

Los links de descarga serán facilitados aquí mismo tan pronto como estén disponibles. Y si queréis una copia del cd, podréis haceros con una también, a través de mi. Por supuesto, dedicada personalmente con todo mi cariño (si así lo queréis, claro!)

Howdy! December it's always a chatoic month for me. It's the busiest moment on the Gospel Factory tour (we also recently recorded vocals for Disney's spanish version of The Princess and The Frog) and adding to that I'm recording the album and promotion the No Fui Yo The Remixes project.

Talking about that, I'd like to remind you the dates for the No Fui Yo releases:
4th December will be the date for the physical release
7th December will be the digital release.

You'll find the download links right here as soon as they're available. If you want a physical copy you'll be able to buy it directly from here. Of course fully autographed with all my love (if you want my autograph that's it!)

I hope to see you guys in any of the parties. It'll be fantastic to greet you and have a chat. At the Noovo party (that's the official one, in Reus) I'll do a showcase with three songs from my forthcoming debut album. But it's not only me who's performing. Many exceptional artists from different genres will be there too. It's going to be great! Plus, which each ticket you buy, you'll get a free No Fui Yo Cd!!

Robert Bonet y Pablo Delgado presentan: "NO FUI YO – The Remixes". Estos jóvenes autores nos presentan este proyecto ambicioso que reúne a muchos artistas importantes del panorama español que se han unido para elaborar versiones en distintos géneros de su tema No Fui Yo. El doble senzillo se trata del último single que nos presenta el pianista y compositor Robert Bonet de su primer álbum de estudio "Temptacions" que fue publicado el pasado Mayo de 2008 por Urban Culture Studios y que también se incluirá en el álbum debut titulado "Despacio" de Pablo Delgado, que se publicará en breve durante este año.

Los dos autores han pretendido despedazar la canción en un trabajo complicado de armonía y adaptación en distintos estilos, dónde el sonido electrónico es el predominante, pero sin perder la esencia de lo antiguo que reside tanto en el estilo del pianista de Nueva Simplicidad como el "Soul" que ama el cantante. El disco que está a caballo entre Madrid, Barcelona, Cáceres, Tarragona y Reus contiene colaboraciones especiales de Rubén García Motos, Aránzazu Fernández, Daniel González, Sonikah, Dj RomanShark, Gama, Caco Duque, Lobo, Francesc Gilabert, Francesc Torres e Ivan Fresh entre otros...

El disco se presentará en Reus y Barcelona del 3 al 6 de diciembre en distintas fiestas de presentación llamadas "NO FUI YO Parties" que constarán de una opening, una official, una high level y una closing party dónde aparecerán artistas invitados cómo la compañía de danza de David García, Wendy Lady Lock,Lyda Ruiz o Ana Bedmar, así como ruedas de prensa y firma de discos. Entre los emplazamientos se encuentran: Green Dog, Noovo Club, Hyde Club y Momentum.

El trabajo saldrá editado en Jewel Box por TU CD en edición física y en edición digital por K Zoo / The Orchard. The N&S Productions 2009.

Vale, vamos a seguir bloggeando... (ese verbo no existe, ya lo se, y me importa cero).

Esta vez hablaré del proyecto "No fui yo - The Remixes". "No fui yo" es uno de los temas incluidos en mi próximo (y primer) disco. La canción es una composición mia junto al pianista Robert Bonet, e incluida en versión acústica (solo piano) en su disco "Temptacions". Tras la buena acogida que tuvo el tema en esa versión, Robert propuso lanzarla en formato E.P con varios remixes de distintos géneros de este mismo tema. Entre ellas se encuentra mi propio edit de la canción (Retro-drama-pop?, no se describirla!) que será la cabeza del proyecto. Estamos contando con grandes profesionales para los remixes, algunos con más nombre que otros, pero todos de una inmensa calidad (los desvelaré más adelante, pues de momento aun se están currando los remixes). Todo lo que he oido de momento me parece muy sorprendente y francamente divertido. No había sido remezclado hasta ahora, y me encanta oir mi voz sobre una base tan potente y sintética (ya tuve una MALA experiencia con el dance en Alemania, pero esa es otra historia...). La fecha prevista para el lanzamiento de este E.P en formato digital y físico es para Septiembre, e incluso ya estamos barajando las presentaciones y fiestas para el lanzamiento. Os informaré más en cuanto sepa más cosas.+

Solo una pista...Googleando se llega a todas partes...

Tengo conciertos pendientes con el maravilloso Oke, cuyo disco Retrodisea ya está a la venta, y recomiendo encarecidamente (entradas para su concierto en Málaga el día 16 de Mayo YA A LA VENTA también).

También sigo Gospeleando (tampoco existe este verbo, no?) con los Gospel Factory... Y creo que el martes cantaré con ellos delante de la Familia Real y demás politicos varios. Ya os contaré la experiencia de cantar para cabezas coronadas.

Ahora paso a describiros otro tema de mi disco. Me he propuesto desglosar un tema del disco por blog.

Hoy es el turno de....KARMA!

Este tema (en inglés) trata sobre la despreocupación que me supone la tendencia humana natural de sentirse culpable por elegir y contradecir. Como no puede ser de otra forma para mi, narrado desde una experiencia 100% real. ¿Quién no se ha despertado alguna vez tras una noche...intensa y se ha dado cuenta de que se ha acostado con quien menos debía o simplemente con alguien que no le interesa ni remotamente? Hacer daño es triste, pero más triste es tragar lo que no quieres. Musicalmente es un corte uptempo, muy jazzy, en la línea de los temas que mis queridos Georgie Fame o France Gall pudieron haber hecho a mediados de los 60's (con todos mis respetos). "I didn't care if you looked like hell, as long as you gave good head...but morning came right after I did and I had to face the truth"

Ayer estuve en el showcase promocional de Daniel Merriweather y me pareció magnífico. Maravillosa producción de Mark Ronson, buenos temas, y excelente voz. Me lo pasé muyyy bien, y hoy tengo resaca (tanta bandeja con cerveza de buena mañana...)

O.k! So let's go for round two...

This time I'm going to tell you about "No fui yo - The Remixes". "No fui yo" is one of the songs included in my first album. I co-wrote it with pianist Robert Bonet as a collaboration for his album "Temptacions" (out now) in an acoustic version. After the song did well , Robert propposed releasing it as an E.P which would include at least 8 different remixes of the track. Amongst those remixes there is my own edit of the song which is tipically me. Retro-drama-pop? I don't know how to describe it really. It's going to be the head track of the E.P too. We're collaborating with some fabulous producers of very different electronic-house-dance genres which have given the song a very distinctive and different sound in each edit. I can't say names yet as they're finishing up their works but they'll soon be revealed. The results are really cool and surprising. Quite mad really. I hadn't been remixed until now and I quite like listening to my voice over such a ritmic and powerful beat. I already did some dance music work for Germany and it wasn't a pleasant experience but it's going to be fab this time around. The aproximate release date for the E.P will be sometime in September in both physical and digital. We're even looking into the releases parties and everything. I'll keep you updated on this release.

Just a clue... Google takes you EVERYWHERE!.

I have a few dates ahead as the backing singer for the wonderful Oke (His album Retrodisea is out now and so are the tickets for his Málaga show on the 16th of May @ Sala Vivero)

I'm also singing with the Gospel Factory and doing our rounds all trough the country. We're apparently singing in front of the Royal Family this week which is quite major! I'll tell you about that next week.

I'm now telling you about another song from my album. I've decided to explain a song in each blog.

And today is KARMA's turn.

This song (which is in English) it's about how little I care about the whole guilt feeling one gets when you don't go with the flow and instead chooses to contradict the world and be true to yourself. Obviously is narrated from a 100% real experience. Who hasn't wake up sometime thinking that you really fucked up the night before when you realise who is in bed with you? Hurting someone's feelings isn't good but nor is going against what you really feel. Musically it's a very uptempo jazzy number which sounds like something Georgie Fame or France Gall would have done back in the mid 60's (with all my respect to such artist which I adore) "I didn't care if you looked like hell as long as you gave good head. But morning came right after I did and I had to face the truth..."

I went to Daniel Merrieweather's promo showcase and it was fantastic. Amazing production by Mark Ronson, nice songs and great voice. I have a bit of a hangover today... too many beers at the event!
